Connect Sarvam

The one manual step in setup. About 15 to 20 minutes, once, ever.

← All docs

Why this step exists Sarvam does not offer a way to create a voice agent or look up your account details through an API — building the agent has to happen in their own console. Svarloop cannot skip this, but it turns five confusing account details into one copy and paste.

Step 1: Create your agent

Open agents.sarvam.ai in your browser and sign up if you have not already. Click New Agent.

Svarloop already wrote the agent's instructions for you. In the Svarloop app, go to Settings, Connect Sarvam — you will see a ready made prompt with a Copy button. Paste it into the Instructions field on Sarvam's agent creation screen. You are not writing prompt engineering here, only pasting.

Fill in the greeting field with the short opening line also shown in that same screen, then click Create.

Step 2: Rent a number

Sarvam requires identity verification (KYC) before you can rent an Indian phone number, the same as any telecom provider. This typically takes 15 to 20 minutes and needs a business ID or GST number. Follow Sarvam's own prompts on their Connections or Telephony page.

Step 3: Copy the code sample

Once your agent and number both exist, go to your agent's Deploy with code tab in the Sarvam console. You will see a code sample with several fields already filled in for your account.

Copy the entire code block, not just one line.

Step 4: Paste it into Svarloop

Back in Svarloop, paste the whole code block into the Connect Sarvam screen. The app reads it automatically and fills in five fields for you: your organisation ID, workspace ID, agent ID, agent version, and connection ID. You will see a green confirmation once all five are found.

Step 5: Add your API key

One field the code sample does not include, for security, is your actual key. Go to Settings inside the Sarvam console, find your Voice Agents platform key, and paste it in.

A common mix up Sarvam has two different kinds of API key. The one Svarloop needs starts with sk_samvaad_. A different key, the general speech API key, does not work here even though it looks similar — if Svarloop rejects your key, check the prefix first.

Step 6: Save and you are done

Click Save and Connect. Svarloop confirms the connection and you are ready to launch your first campaign. You will not need to open Sarvam's console again for day to day use — from here, everything happens inside Svarloop.

Something not matching what you see on screen? Sarvam's own console changes over time — email svarloop@s8n.in with a screenshot and we will update this page.
